Busy week ahead: Monday and Tuesday, I have to present 'Social Evidence Review' paper to meetings of our Exec directors and non-Exec directors, on successive days. Wednesday, we should at last have Builders In for the two big sets of work -- one lot doing internal insulation and repainting; the other lot doing outside works including what JN insists must be called a 'roofed passageway' not a back porch. Luckily I can take Wed and Fri off, and have the next 2 weeks booked as leave to supervise and sort out the builders and post-builder clean-up etc.
Raining outside; Hurricane Hanna (formally degraded to a mere 'tropical storm') forecast to head over and visit us about the end of next week. Off for a swim, with JN. This arvo: go to allotment, pick sweet corn.

Ah.. Now I understand what you were talking about before when you mentioned Hurricane Hanna! Hadn't heard of this one in Australia yet.
Both meetings went off fine: paper formally accepted by the Powers that Be, carry on... And jolly lively discussion with the assembled eminent scientists and researchers.
