Pumpkins

We nipped out to the allotment this afternoon, between the rain, and harvested our pumpkin crop -- eight of them, of various sizes. A photograph appears above. Note the "handle" left on them, to guard against the possibility of rot getting into the stem, and thus into the pumpkins themselves.

It's our best crop for many years. We look forward to enjoying them over the winter....
