Harvest Home
We went to the allotment yesterday, for the first time after a week away in Purbeck, and found that the summer harvest season is now in full swing. Pictured is the head gardener, Cde J Hanna, with yesterday's haul: a bag of red orache, a bag of parsley, a bag of lavender, three tubs of strawberries, two tubs of raspberries, and two of blackcurrants. And a vase of red roses to keep them company.

And a plate of peas. How could I forget that? (Perhaps because we ate them with our dinner shortly after the picture was taken....)
